I have used Proactiv for about 10 years. I used the original formula for several years with great results. About 5 years ago they reformulated it and it never worked the same for me. The Proactiv+ that is being sold now is not even the same type of 3 piece kit. So I've had luck with other products but nothing made my skin as glowy and calm as the original Proactiv. Until now.
Target is now selling (or has been, although I've only seen it recently) Up&Up brand version of the Proactiv Kit. It's a 3 piece kit, same 4oz and 2 oz sizes, same color and same scent as the original Proactiv. Get this...It's $11.99 for all 3!!

I have almost gone through an entire kit and feel like I can honestly tell you that it works just as great for me as the original Proactiv ever did. You get the Renewing Cleanser, the Rejuvenating Toner and the Repairing Treatment all in one kit. So far, all 3 have worked really well on my skin. No new break outs, overall skin tone is vastly improved and no major drying.
I can't tell you how happy this has made me and I hope it's helpful for you guys as well! Drugstore Proactiv is pretty much the best discovery I've made in a long time!!
I have been reading your blog for a while and have been loving your post. I have to say this is the best ever!! I have been looking for something to work as well as the old Proactive. Now I have an 11 year son that is starting to have skin issues and I will be picking this up for the both of us! Yay!!

DeleteThis is amazing! I have wanted to try the Equate version of Proactiv but my local Walmart doesn't keep it in stock. It's so nice to see that other drugstores are creating dupes! Proactiv has been the only thing to keep my skin consistently 100% clear but I hate the commitment they want and how they continue to charge your card. I will DEFINITELY be picking this up!

DeleteDo you find that it bleaches your pillowcases/towels/clothes or any other fabric that it comes in contact with? That's what proactiv does. None of my towels are safe from the teenage boy!
ReplyDeleteYes! The benzoyl peroxide (proactiv magic ingredient) definitely bleaches everything.
